Our 10-bed dorms are $36 per person (excluding tax).

We have two 10-bed dorms at the hostel – Africa and Asia (all beds in the room are named after famous places in these continents).

There are lockers in the room to store all of your important things – you just need to remember to bring a padlock 🙂

Do you have 24 hour reception?

Our reception hours are from 9 am to 10 pm only. There is no curfew so you can come and go as you like after you check-in.

Why should I stay at the Ottawa Backpackers Inn instead of another hostel?

For the unique experience that only Ottawa Backpackers Inn offers. We are in an awesome location, close to many tourist attractions, shops, restaurants, pubs and bars. We give you friendly service with local knowledge and tips, and we are happy to help anytime. It is a lot of fun with many spots in the hostel to just hang out or interact with fellow backpackers from all over the world. And the price is right – our prices are the cheapest in town, especially for such a wonderful location in Downtown Ottawa.

Do you have parking?
Yes, we have a few parking spaces, and reservations are possible. Parking is available for just $11 per night +tax.
Do you serve breakfast?
We do not serve breakfast, but we offer free coffee and tea all day. There is a full kitchen that you can cook in anytime, and a 24-hour supermarket is just a 2-minute walk away. There are also about 100 restaurants within a 5-minute walk.
Do you have Free Wifi Internet access?
Sure. There is Free WiFi everywhere in the hostel.
What do I need to bring?
We supply all the bedding. Guests provide their own towels, or we have towels to rent for $2. You may also want to bring your own lock for a locker or we sell them for $5.
Is the stay in your hostel safe?

Yes – very safe. We give you a key for your room and have security lockers in the dorms. We have strict ID requirements and have security cameras in the parking and common areas of the hostel.

Are you downtown?
Yes – we are in an excellent location in the Byward Market. You can walk to almost everything you will want to visit.
Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes. Washers are $2 per load. Dryers are 25 cents per 5 minutes, or we have an outdoor clothes line.
